What is your understanding of gender?

I see in gender the difference between man and women that was set by birth. Sexual orientation might change this definition to more than two outcomes.

What is your understanding of gender inequality?

When someone is at a disadvantage because of the own gender compared to people of the opposite gender even if both persons would have the same qualifications.

What is your personal opinion about gender

non-binary?

I think everybody needs to respect the gender someone identifies with it, even it is not male or female. This topic is still quite new and need to be adopted further in cultural terms and considering law agreements.

What is your understanding of intersectionality?

I´m not very familiar with this term. For me it means how people are identified with and the resulting prejudices that may arise.

Can you name any significant inequalities in your country?

Portugal: Salary gap between Man and Women. The perception of the body weight. Higher weight accepted for man but not for women. Women are still more expected to take care after household and children than man.

What are the 3 most important factors for a gender inclusive society?

-Don’t categorize games and toys for boy or girl

-Empowerment of male dominated jobs for women (tech sector, engineering)

-increase awareness of equal responsibility for raising a child for both man and women
