What is your understanding of gender?

Clearly a social construction to me & has to be distiniguished from "the sexes".

What is your understanding of gender inequality?

Inequalities that result from being either considered of male or female gender. Can be manifested in many different ways, however, present across different countries, classes, and societies.

What is your personal opinion about gender

non-binary?

Good, especially in terms of pluralism and social diversity. Convinced that language is a means to achieve the acceptance of gender non-binary.

What is your understanding of intersectionality?

Very complex issue, especially such as in the case of racism against People of Colour and the intersectionality with misogonist behaviour. Should also be elaborated/discussed more in Western universities.

Can you name any significant inequalities in your country?

Germany:

- Pay gap between women and men.

- Underrepresentation of women in parliament

- Social inequality in general, in particular in German Gymnasien.

What are the 3 most important factors for a

gender inclusive society?

Factors:

-Economic inclusiveness (needs to be tackled first I believe)

- Education: especially when it comes to sex and health care education. Issues, such as toxic masculinty & ethics as well as the role of gender stereotypes, have to be taken more seriously.

- Language: Not in a detailed and micro-environment BUT rather in public discourse. Such as giving women more space to speak or men the chance to show emotions/feelings.
